Pillar 03 · Objective Truth

Practice Truth-Seeking
Together.

Truth isn't a feeling or a vote — it's what's there when no one's watching, and the only honest way to find it is together, in the open, with people willing to be wrong. That matters more than ever in the age of AI: when anything can be generated at scale, the burden falls on humans to reason in good faith and keep a shared reality we can stand on.

The problem

Reality is torn.

For a generation, "your truth" replaced "the truth." The result was predictable: a society that can't agree on what happened, much less what to do about it.

Tribes harden. Algorithms amplify. Anyone who says maybe we're wrong gets sorted to the other team by lunchtime.

The solution

The repair is conversation.

Objective Truth isn't a return to dogma. It's the radical proposal that some claims are more accurate than others, and finding out which ones takes a particular kind of courage — the kind you can only build with another person in the room.

Real dialogue is the technology that puts a torn reality back together, one honest exchange at a time.

The practices

Three muscles you
build in dialogue.

01
Socratic Inquiry
A good question opens a door three answers couldn't. The Socratic method isn't about winning — it's about jointly discovering what neither of you saw walking in.
02
Steel-manning
Argue the strongest version of your opponent's view before you respond. If you can't, you don't disagree with them yet — you disagree with a cartoon of them.
03
Radical candor
Care personally. Challenge directly. Comfort and growth don't share a zip code. Say the hard thing — with love — and hear it the same way.
