Last updated: 2026-09-26. We try to collect the minimum, be explicit about it, and never sell or share what we do collect.
What we collect.
Analytics cookies, only if you accept. We use two analytics tools: Google Analytics 4 and PostHog. Until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, both run without cookies: GA4 receives only cookie-less pings, and PostHog counts page visits and clicks using a daily-rotating anonymous hash, with nothing stored on your device. If you accept, both may set a first-party cookie so we can understand how people move through the site, and PostHog may record anonymized session replays (form fields are masked). If you decline, the cookie-less mode stays on for this device.
Your email, when you submit a form. If you give us your email to receive the Handbook, the Mental Models Playbook, or to join a waitlist, we store it in Airtable so we can send the thing you asked for. The form submission also stores the page you submitted from and the lead-source tag (e.g., Handbook).
Standard server logs. Our host (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs (IP, user-agent, path) that we use only for debugging and abuse prevention.
What we don't do.
- No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no ad-network trackers.
- No selling or renting of email lists.
- No cross-site behavioral profiling.
- No newsletter subscription unless you explicitly opt in.
Your rights.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing brian@bethirdbrain.com. We honor opt-out and deletion requests within seven days.
